Overview
Student learning requires the integration of well-developed curriculum and instructional design supported by intentional an ongoing assessment. When teaching, learning, and assessment are correctly aligned and students are engaged – learning results. Our current curriculum exceeds Missouri Common Core based standards with the Christian faith integrated into each individual grade level subject. The staff often refers to the LESA curriculum as another resource to drive maximum circular development.
Curriculum Review
Messiah has a five year cycle of reviewing and updating core curriculum subjects. In recent years Math and Language Arts curriculum were written, which connected to Common Core Standards, LESA curricular objectives, and faith-based instructional goals.
